Hugh is a much sought-after auctioneer for both national and international fundraising events. He took his first charity auction in 1989 and has since conducted over 885 more, working with some 450 charities and helping to raise over £100 million. Although based in London, his charitable work to date has taken him to over 30 cities around the world.
His involvement is not just limited to “turning up on the night”, but prefers to be an integral part of the strategic planning of the auction, sharing his advice and expertise from the outset.
No event is too big or too small, and his experience over three decades allows him to tailor his performance to suit a variety of audiences whether it is a large Gala fundraiser with 800 guests, or that of a small charity evening for a local primary school.
